Compal Jhl90 Drivers

JHL90 on Windows 7. Discussion in 'Other Manufacturers' started by Thunderfox, Oct 8, 2009. Compal is and won't offer Windows 7 drivers for the JHL90, problem is that the ACPI doesn't work in Windows 7. I don't see a Win7 dir at the JHL90 section, Compal communicated to me that they won't offer specific Win7 drivers for the JHL90. Later Nvidia wants to switch automatically in the drivers. GeForceBoost is not supported with this card, as there would be no performance gain.

Hi, I want to update my BIOS, but I'm having serious troubles finding a working version. I'm not a complete newbie, and like to think that I'm a bit tech savvy. However, no matter where I search, I either find a really old version from 2008, or it's not compatible with my system or it's 'corrupt' etc. I have been to compal website, and browsed their driver update center, found only ONE bios update for W7. Attempted to install it, but apparently, it's not compatible with 64-bit.

I know for sure that they have released several BIOS updates since 2008 (my current), and the newest version is from 3/15/2011. THIS IS FOR LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK OS: Windows7 64-bit Motherboard: Compal JHL90 Current BIOS version: Compal 1.08 Is there anyone out there that concidentally just recently updated their laptop/notebook and had compal JHL90? Or can help me with my problem? Well, I was having some issues with my laptop, and after spending some time googling around, I eventually ended up with the conclusion that I should try to update my BIOS. That said, I've tried to solve the issues through normal means, but no results, so I thought I'd give the BIOS thing a try. It's just as you said, it's a really old laptop, and I honestly think it's more of an 'outdated'-hardware issue rather than software. And if what you said is true, maybe that's why I'm having such troubles finding BIOS update. Time to buy a new laptop, I guess. Thanks for the reply.
