Elfen Lied was the first anime I really got into. Granted, it’s only 13 episodes, gory as can be, and really not recommendable to 15-year-olds, which is how old I was when I first watched it. The opening to the anime remains one of my all-time favorite songs from any anime series. Composed by Kumiko Noma (小黒久美子) and arranged by yours truly.

Please allow my opinion on some bits of it then; I only have a basic level of music education so please correct me if anything I say does not make sense: bar11: D# and B# at 2nd beat. I would also be tempted to make the bass line B, B#, C# for beats 1,2,3 for better voice leading. Bar27: bass note F# then E (each in fifths, similar to bar23 but with bar27’s rhythm). Bar32: bass note B (like a 7th interval at the bottom), F#, G#. Bar33: bass note B.

(just a suggestion of a detail: maybe B + F# together then the F# moves up to G#, A in beat 2.5 and 3, while holding the bottom B). I am probably a lot biased towards the original arrangement, and anything significantly different alerts me.
